    I'm old. And I'm tired.

But I have my shit together, thank God.

If I was younger, the stress I've been under the last two months would have broken me.

I really do appreciate the well wishes, and the good natured jokes.

If you think now is stressful, just wait until she's a teenager.

Heartiest congratulations, YF! Greatest blessing one can be given.

She is already smarter than Starman, right? :)

I recommend you Tweet about her a lot. :D

Heartiest of congrats! Welcome to the best club of your life. Lemme know if you need a babysitter (she's only 3 1/2 but she's more responsible than her father).

As long as she is healthy, wealthy, and wise, and has all 8 of her toes, everything else is gravy.

    Cheers.

Fiona's mom and I were both troublemakers as teens, so I'm not sure she's going to be able to get away with much as a teen.

Impending parenthood probably had my stress up to the average level of any soon to be 47-year-old first time father.

A couple of family medical issues, including learning a couple of weeks ago that our daughter would need surgery shortly after birth, ramped it up to record levels.

Thank God my wife is strong and loving and compassionate, and we have a happy, loving marriage.

We also have brilliant, dedicated and caring doctors and nurses who have been taking care of us and our daughter.

Thankfully I have a place to argue politics to burn off some of the stress. :)

See? It'll be a good thing for Hillary to be elected. You'll have plenty of material to burn off stress for the next 4-8 years. You'll be wishing she was president when your daughter is a teenager.

And in all seriousness, I hope the upcoming surgery goes well for your little one.
