I think my wife is going to kill me....

    Good advice...I keep saying that, but it's been true. Really, this is exactly the mix of much-needed laughter, positive reinforcement and advice I was hoping for.

    Last update for a while.... We had the discussion/argument, which went as I expected. For now, we're calling a truce until this plays out. That is going to take some time.

  5. Good luck, OOP. I've been there. It sucks.

    My job has uprooted our lives and our plans a couple of times. My wife's always had to make the bigger sacrifice. She wasn't too happy the last time, still isn't at times, but we manage. In the end, your decision has to be what's best for the family.

    The immediate angst and outrage sucks but If this opportunity is best for your family she'll consider it.
