I said lunch, not launch! Mystery missile in California

    I'm thinking plane too.

    A few reasons:

    First, these type of contrails show up off the coast like this at dusk every now and then, and you can clearly see they are from aircraft.

    Second, the time of this event is during rush hour at LAX. I've sat at my apartment deck in downtown LA several times and watched the jumbos from Japan/Hawaii etc. come in at this time of day. And with the sky being this busy, it's impossible that no other pilots in the vicinity noticed the event -- we've heard of no pilots asking the tower to ID an unknown aircraft in their area. Had this been a rocket, lots of pilots would have seen it.

    And I'm also surprised we haven't seen dozens or more videos of this event...to the best of my knowledge, we've seen one or two. Taken from a skyborne helicopter.

    I think it was Iron Man.

    Or maybe it was some dude testing out his new jet pack.
