I'll also take snow and 31 degrees over fucking 8 degrees and a snowless windchill.
I'm getting too old for that Arctic wind blowing through my bones.

Hold up. Was that X playing with Leary?

It's not. Big "X" on the bass drum for some reason, but that's not X.

Thanks! I couldn't get a good look at the band and wondered how I missed it.

Friday: Predicted high of nearly 70 with potential severe thunderstorms.

Saturday: Low in the mid-20s with a wintry mix.

The fleece to shorts to down parka clothing rotation sucks.

As a Southerner, that's my kind of weather. I thrive when it's like that.

Anyone who thrives on that is a much better person than me.

Low wind chill tomorrow morning, to be followed up by temps in the 60s Saturday. At least after today, the sunrises start getting earlier.

The worst part of the first weeks of January is that it is almost impossible here in New England to go through it without catching a cold. My daughter woke up with a bad one the day she had to go back to France (December 28). I woke up with a bad one January 3. Alice got hers day before yesterday. I hate having to avoid mankind because I'm an infection zone.

Nah, I just grew up in it. Heck, we didn't have air conditioning when I was a little kid - just an attic fan and box fans. Once we got AC, mom wouldn't let us turn it on until it hit 90 ... inside the house.

The worst part of growing up without AC was the cricket that would get in your windowsill and keep you awake half the night.
