I quit my job. Now what?

    Pall,

    I know the feeling. I worked for more than a year at one paper that was so bad and so poorly run, I almost resigned on the spot a few months in. It wasn't the immediate supervisors ... a couple of them are some of the best people I know. It was the publisher and the area - just awful. I was sort of talked out of it, did OK and found a great place a few months later.

    I got lucky. But I don't blame you at all. At some point, it's not worth it.

    Last year, I resigned TWO jobs, both of which I liked and did not want to leave. But I had a bigger reason. I seriously regret it professionally, but personally I needed to do it to see how it would work out. It's a work in progress.
