I'm surrounded by people @ work with iPads, but I'm holding out for the Mac Air.

I don't like the idea of holding the thing all the time to use it...I like having an attached keyboard, with the "monitor" in front of me. If I read books, I might like it more. But the last book I read was Buddenbrooks in 1985.*

    *Slight exaggeration.

i bought mine without 3G -- screw ATT.

Getting wifi has not been a problem for me in airports or hotels, or at starbucks the couple of times i've tried there, and using it has been perfect -- no noticeable lags that i can tell. i suppose it's true, though, that i wouldn't know the lag time between wifi and 3G. if i'm downloading a movie, i do have to remember download time (like, don't try that when i'm walking out the door to catch a flight; movies need like a half hour to download, so i just do it the day before).

pandora is fantastic. i've also become a big fan of evernote and dropbox, work-wise.

I used an app called "My Writing Nook." It goes with a Google account, but it doesn't use Google Docs.

Put a Palm OS on this thing, and it would kick some major ass balls.

We went out of town last week and had more freaking gadgets and charger things, I don't know how we kept all that shit straight.

Me: You don't have to take your own Kindle charger. You can use mine.
Her: Does your Walkman charger work with my iPod?
Me: Seriously? Maybe you better just pack all your own jank.
Her: You seen my cell phone charger?

I need an iPad around here like I need a hemorroid. We have four laptops, two cell phones, two kindles, two iPods and one Walkman. Plus a Wii and two dogs.
