I need an 80s movie (and a 90s one, etc.)

Singles could work for the 90s, but I don't really remember how much cursing there is.

Rocky IV could be a good one for the 80s with some good talking points, but I'm not sure the unintentional comedy would come across to your group.

Trying to consider films thus far unmentioned.

    80s:
    Witness
    Driving Miss Daisy
    Stand and Deliver
    Field of Dreams

    90s:
    Philadelphia
    Apollo 13
    The Insider
The Big Lebowski (ok, too many f-bombs; too much naked Julianne Moore)

    2000s:
    Milk
    Into the Wild
    Erin Brockovich

    2010s:
    Winter's Bone
    Beasts of the Southern Wild
    The Way Way Back
    Mud

Lean on Me could be another good 80s movie. Can show poverty and how one man tries to change a culture in a school.

I like Blazin' Saddles for the 1870s.

I agree with LTL about Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

It Happened One Night could be one for the '30s.
