I may have to turn Democrat, if only for the TV shows

EW did a survey on the television preferences of Republicans and Democrats:

    http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/12/06/republican-vs-democrat-tv/

I, for one, am appalled at the viewing choices of my fellow GOPers. Seriously? Swamp Loggers, The Bachelor, The Biggest Loser?

Democrats may hate America ;D, but at least they recognize the greatness of 30 Rock and It's Always Sunny.

They should do movies as well, but does this list suprise anyone?

    Was WWE a choice?

Interesting that conservatives would like Leno, given how much he savaged Bush and has largely left Obama alone. And I'm sad that NCIS and The Mentalist, two of my faves, are on the conservative side. Also interesting that the cub-cougar dynamic is a liberal thing.

I can't click the link at work, but I would expect NCIS and Blue Bloods to be on the republican list.

    24 was always really high.

I call bullshit on the whole list. "Glee" is a perfect example of Faux brain-rotting T&A.

They also have "Family Guy" and "Jersey Shore" among GOP "least favorite" ; in fact I bet the audience skews GOP on both those shows.

Basically all the shit-ass Fox cartoons are aimed for the yeehaw audience.

Republican list (never watched a second of any of these shows, BTW):
    – Swamp Loggers (Discovery) and Top Shot (History) - Never even heard of either show...
    – The Bachelor (ABC) - Don't watch it. I have watched it before, but not since one of the first seasons.
    – Castle (ABC) - Love the show. One of my favorites...
    – Mythbusters (Discovery) - Never watched it.
    – Only in America With Larry the Cable Guy, American Pickers, Pawn Stars, Swamp People (History) - Never seen any of them.
    – The Middle (ABC) - I have seen it. I don't like it.
    – The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (NBC) - Hate the show.
    – The Biggest Loser (NBC) - Don't watch it.
    – Hawaii Five-O, NCIS, The Mentalist (CBS) - Love all three shows.

Shocked that Castle is regarded as a GOP totem. It's pretty diverse, with a separate-but-can't-live-without-each-other tandem at the center.

  9. Nathan Fillion from Castle is a big conservative. You don't hear much about his politics because he's Canadian. Him and Adam Baldwin (no relation to Alec) used to talk about how great Reagan was all the time while doing Firefly.

  10. My favorite shows FWIW (in no particular order)

    - Boardwalk Empire
    - Justified
    - Mad Men
    - 30 Rock
    - Archer
    - Castle

Really surprised Justified wasn't on that GOP list

    The bigger question is,
where's the party line divide on porn?
Now that would get my interest.

I can pretty much tell how someone votes by their answer to the question: How many shows on CBS do you watch regularly?
