    The dad's experiences, his heartbreak for his kid, the experiences the kid has had with racism -- that should be your story.
    Your pursuit of putting the story together and being stonewalled by various officials could be a sidebar.

    I had no idea "aboriginal" was regularly applied to native Canadians as well as native Australians. You learn something new every day.

    I wondered this today, when the tee shot of the guy leading the PGA seniors event I covered nearly hit me. It skipped about two feet behind me, but only because I lurched forward a few feet right before it flew past. If it hits me, that's a strange interview question.

  5. Just read it. Nice job, DG. It seems like the kind of story that can start a dialogue and end up doing some good, for everyone.
