Sorry to bring back a nearly year old thread, but I just watched this on HBO.
Can anyone explain what I just watched?

See? I told you that 'Knowing' wasn't the worst movie ever. :)

Send me your address so I can come by and punch you. You'll like it more and it'll make more sense than watching M. Night Shamalamayodingdongmandingdong, plus it's appropriate punishment for watching said douchebag.

I liked The Happening, if only for the mood it sets and the acting of Mark Wahlberg. Seriously, there is something magnetizing about that guy on celluloid.

No blue font at all. I can't defend this position; I can just take it.

Mark Wahlberg was atrocious in that movie.
Andy Samberg's impression seemed entirely based off of it

He and Zooey Deschanel were mind-numbly horrible in this movie, imo. But then, I thought all the actors turned in pretty horrible performances, and I do think a good part of it was directing. With Wahlberg and John Leguizamo in particular, there were times I swear I could see them being told, "Do this stiffer! And more horribly!"

This was the movie that made me stop defending Zooey Deschanel as an actress. Wahlberg can do good work (witness "The Departed") but it was not on display in this terrible, terrible movie.

My God this movie was bad. I haven't thought about it in over a year, and now I can't stop thinking about how terrible it was. Magic of the Internet, I suppose.
