Don't worry. We all make bad decisions some times.

Marriage usually involves at least two people each making a bad decision.

I think we need to see the wedding certificate. If that makes me a wedder, so be it.

I very nearly lost the wedding certificate.

Mandalay Bay's package included a limo ride to and from the marriage bureau, which is right near the downtown hotels. We had set it up for the afternoon. But, we woke up early, and decided to get it out of the way, so we took a cab over there.

When we got back to the hotel, we went to the spa to see if we could book massages. (Her sister's boyfriend had gotten us a gift card as a present.) They had a couples massage available in just 15 minutes, so we jumped on it and headed straight to the respective locker rooms.

When we were done, her sister had just landed, so we jumped in a cab to meet them for lunch.

And, I left the marriage certificate in the locker at the spa.

I called right away and, thankfully, they were able to find it right away, and hold onto it for us.

Congrats YF! Awesome way to do it. (thinking maybe I should take some lessons from this...) Best wishes for the future.

Honestly the way to go. PM me if you have any questions.

We were able to plan it quickly (not that we had to!), we saved a ton of money, and we had fun.

There was no wedding planning drama, and no arguments in the lead up to it.

She told a couple of the wives at my high school reunion of our plans. (They bonded in the ladies room.) All of them told her that we were dong the right thing and how they would totally do it that way if they could do it all over again.
