Patchs, thanks for the props, but I'd make a horrible Moderator. Honestly.

I would have no patience with shit like Boom's "The Koran Justifies Killing" thread. It'd be nuked in a nanosecond.

If, as Moddy/Webby say, they want a board that people can be proud of, that reflects well on journalism (and I'm not a journalist), I'd have a lower threshold for a lot of the crap that gets posted on here. And I know I've been as guilty as a lot of people with juvenile crap.

I'd take the Canadian stance: "Peace, Order and Good Government"

Oh, and free healthcare.

I say there should be a rigorous moderator college. Then a selection committee to see if you qualify for a big job.

 

But sometimes, you can just tell who's got it, regardless of experience or schooling.

We call those mods f'in studs.

 

I'll bet I'd make a good moderator. Everyone would think I'd be all laid back and oddball, but I'd be a helluva lot stricter than people think.

 

Maybe we should have rotating moderators, since we burn people out on Anything Goes.
