How about Deadwood, which was only three short seasons? Garret Dillahunt played two vastly different, but prominent characters.

Garret Dillahunt might be my favourite actor. Years ago, I got to talk to David Milch about casting him twice in Deadwood, and he said he could because Dillahunt disappears in the work.

Then Milch let out this little growl. "And he killed all those whores. That was something, wasn't it?"

It sure was, buddy. Something very expensive.

The same actor (Steven Lang) played the bad guy in Avatar and Ike Clanton in Tombstone:

James Cordon was on Dr Who with Matt Smith as a guy whose apartment was invaded by a malevolent alien. He later returned after having a baby who wanted to be called stormageddon. My wife and I still love that gag. Didn't realize until today who that guy was.

Watching Season 3 of the Sopranos. The guy who hides Jackie Aprile Jr. after the poker game heist is Michael Kenneth White, AKA Chalky White from Boardwalk Empire and Omar Little from The Wire.

"An Army of One" episode, one of the best, the one that ends with Uncle Junior singing at Jackie Jr.'s wake.

I caught part of A Knight's Tale, which certainly wasn't great, but it did have an interesting supporting cast around Heath Ledger. The three friends he traveled with were played by Mark Addy, Alan Tudyk and Paul Bettany. I had completely forgotten that Bettany was playing Chaucer.

And the "Joe Isuzu" guy played an Indian casino boss in Sopranos Season 4.

I thought I recognized the guy in the early scene of "BlacKKKlansman" but wasn't certain it was Isiah Whitlock Jr. (Clay Davis from "The Wire") until a certain familiar line...
