I went and saw some movie called "The Last Legion," an epic the studio obviously had high hopes for but which was ignominiously dumped on the market.

Starring Ben Kinglsey, Colin Firth and the kid from "Love, Actually" as a young Julius Caesar.

You didn't miss anything, by the way.

If you would have said, "Walked naked on stilts down Main Street Saturday night while drunker than 700 dollars," I'd have had to call you on it.

I was betting he got Maria Sharapova to make some noise.

Quality stuff, all -- and certainly better than the movie.

To turn this thread into a worthwhile discussion, what the hell is up with Ben Kingsley? He does solid work in most every one of his movies (especially, Schindler's List, House of Sand and Fog and Sexy Beast, of recent vintage), but since his pseudo "comeback" with Sexy Beast, he's latched onto some stinkers.

    The Last Legion
    Lucky Number Slevin
    BloodRayne
    Oliver Twist
    A Sound of Thunder
    Suspect Zero
    Thunderbirds

Yes, but he will be deeply kissing an Olsen twin in his next movie... not bad for a guy in his late 60s...

Trying to figure out why my truck is making the world most heinous noise.
Hiking in and around Lost Grove.
    Seeing 'Superbad.'
Wishing I'd had time to play poker.

He's got Michael Caine disease, where you never turn down a paycheck. Remember how Caine couldn't be there to get his Annie Hall oscar because he was on location shooting Jaws 4?

Wow. That's not even close to being true. "Annie Hall" was released in 1977. "Jaws: the Revenge" came out in 1987.
