I buried my wife yesterday

I held her hand Wednesday morning and watched her take her last breath.
I held my children as they cried for their mother.
I watched her parents and brothers and friends come to our house in the 12 days of home hospice to say good bye.
    I am crushed and broken.
I want desperately to be mad and angry at someone. but there is no one to be mad at.
I believe the doctors and medicine did all they could. And even if there was something else to be,
done, it wouldn’t have added much; incurable and terminal always win and generally sooner than later.
    Cancer doesn’t care.
I find strawmen to yell at in the dark. God is cruel, privilege is a lie, and selfish religion and politics made her last year a virtual prisoner in her home.

    she was only 56
    She is perfect
She was taken for no reason.

I buried her yesterday with a handful of insufficient words and dirt.

That is eloquent and heartbreaking. I hope you and your family find a measure of peace over time. You deserve all the support others can provide.

So sorry for you and your family’s loss. Your post about her indicate you did everything you could to provide for your wife all the way through. May that be solace in these times.

I know it’s been a hard road. You were dedicated to her and did all you could, although that provides no solace at the moment. Sending thoughts your way.
