I don't get this questioning of Factcheck and Politifact's funding, bias or agenda. What difference would any of those things make in their research?
Either what they say is true or it isn't.

They're very good at this, unfortunately. Either through defunding programs or injecting incompetent people in key government positions, they get the job done. And it's sort of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Make government bad, complain about bad government. Rinse repeat.

Read "The Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule" by Thomas Frank to get a breakdown on the game plan.

Yep, starving the beast. Of course, Bush the younger added the nice touch of refusing to follow the dictates of passed legislation.

The American voters will get the government that the corporate owners tell them is best. Period.

If the Tea Partiers are serious, let's just roll everyting back to the 1770s. That was a good time to be alive.

As I have said on another thread, why do any of us care about what Glen Beck says or thinks. I have never listened to him and I know no one who does.

Beck, O'Reilly, Maher, Stewart, Colbert, Limbaugh, Hannity, et al.
Why are TV/radio personalities/windbags the opinion makers of this generation?
Can't anyone think for themselves anymore?

Why would you even let this bother you?

It's the people who bitch about Beck and O'Reilly and Olbermann and Palin and Fox News who give them power.

If you don't like him, don't watch his show.

And shut the fuck up about it. :D

And I am definitely not a Glenn Beck fan.
