Caught the Will Smith flick today on HBO. Cool concept, except the entire movie and plotline seemed vastly underdone. I had about 30 questions, upon first viewing alone, that never got answered.

You think the movie's bad, you should read the I Am Legend children's book.

Ms. Slappy won't watch any of it. Animals and death make her nervous.
I've never seen it straight through' caught the part where the German Shepherd dies once; won't watch that part again. Depressing, in the way watching Wilson the volleyball get lost at sea was depressing

Yeah, slapster, but even that scene wasn't handled well enough after the fact. Seeing him delve into his own head a little more before the rampage would have set up the rampage better.

I felt like the beginning 30 minutes needed some news clip or something to link past to present, and further explain the plot.

I liked the Vincent Price version ... Last Man On Earth. Good schlock sci-fi.

There is a serious plot hole in this movie. One that's pretty hard to get over:
There is no way on or off NYC, except if you're a woman and small child.

To me, not nearly as bad as what they did to "I Robot."

I don't think it was rated particularly highly, so I'm not sure you can call it vastly overrated.

But yeah, it was a bowl of suck -- with excruciating animal death as a bonus!
