I absolutely (expletive) cannot stand Whitlock anymore

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by PalmettoStatesport, Nov 19, 2007.

  1. Caught the Jim Rome show and who is on there as the guest host? None other than Mr. Race Card himself, Whitlock. He talked about Missouri and Kansas and made sure he uttered John Brown and Missouri was a slave state. What the hell does that have to do with this weekend's game?
    Unfreakinbelievable.

it goes to the beginning of the rivalry between the two states and why many feel the rivalry is as heated as it is

Really. I'd rather listen to Rush Limbaugh -- seriously. And I'm to the left of Hugo Chavez.

You did hear about the T-shirt flap, right? John Brown's been in the news a bit in the last two weeks, FYI.

And this game ... yeah, it's kind of a big deal.

    So WTF did you expect?

Quantrill's Raiders hailed from Missouri and burned Lawrence to the ground. I'd say the racial connotations of this rivalry are well-founded. The reason it was called Bleeding Kansas was because Missouri's pro-slave ruffians were doing all the blood-letting.

I don't exactly live in a big metro, but even I have more than one radio station ... hell, more than one sports radio station.
