You're the AD of an underperforming power-conference school and you'll be dismissing your head coach, if not this March, then almost certainly after next season.

Some West Coast experience would be nice, but it's not a deal-breaker. Team to be inherited has some talent, and decent facilities. The program has reasonable tradition and some boosters with deep pockets, so you're not entering a totally hopeless situation.

Salary might be a pinch ($300-$400 K) for a year or two until soon-to-be-departed coach is paid off, but since you'll probably get a 5-year deal after that it should range between 500-750 K, depending on experience and how wuccessful first 1-2 years are.

Who out there is ready to move up to a higher-profile job? What assistant is ready to become a successful head coach? What former head coachh is ready for another shot? Any unemployed NBA coaches looking to return to college, or any NBA assistants looking for a college job?

Calling on the wisdom of SportsJournalists.com here. I'll take the answers off the air.
