hyatt vs. marriott

    Marriott points whore here as well. If you're looking for just a basic hotel most Courtyards and SpringHills are nice (though there is an occasional crack house -- yes, I'm talking to you SpringHill Suites At BWI).

    Marriott also has the Renaissance chain in most locations. Really nice, and most offer great deals. Check them out.

    Most Fairfields are great too. I stayed in one outside of Dayton that clearly was converted from an old Best Western or Travelodge or something. Not so great.

    dammit, i see where marriott is smoke-free. i may just take the cash option of $375. unhealthy vices are a bitch!

    is there a hotel within a 3 hour ride of a metropolitan area that isn't smoke free?
