MSNBC seems to be overselling the severity of storm and trying to create drama

In other words, they had a reporter doing a report from an area expected to be hit which hasn't gotten bad yet?

Florida's governor is still the leader in the clubhouse for saying, "this storm will kill you."

No they were trying to make it look like they were standing in the eye of the hurricane.
Even Lester Holt is on the scene wearing some goggles that made him look like a bug.

I love how even the sign language interpreter for Georgia government looks like an extra from Duck Dynasty.

Getting back to normal today in South Florida. Just some downed tree branches and palm fronds in the neighborhood. Never lost power here, though I can't say the same for friends up the road in Palm Beach and Martin counties.

The last-minute 25-mile-or-s0 shift east in the track really saved us here -- an equivalent shift west would have made it much worse.

Still keeping fingers crossed for the Jacksonville area, south Georgia and South Carolina. Looks as if storm surge could be really bad around Jacksonville (which rarely encounters hurricanes because of a combination of geographic and meteorological factors).

Even hurricanes don't want to hang out in Jacksonville.
