    As sj.com is speaking rather loudly and consistently against the American Red Cross ... I can't think of a better justification for my donating a few hunskies to it. Gotta be a better investment than those C-notes I sent a certain New Yorker's way last fall.

    You know, now that Jerry is gone, and Labor Day weekend usually finds some part of the country gripped by some disaster, it wouldn't be a bad idea for it to be a regular slot for a Red Cross telethon.

    Here in Austin visiting the older kids and some folks from Chicago, on the way to deliver donated supplies, are at our hotel. They're stuck because they need gas and nowhere in Austin can such be found. #smh
