Huge, huge sports story that won't (but should) get extensive coverage ...

    I denounce this.

    (Am I doing it right?)

The last time I went bowling, I rolled 222. My first 200 game ever.
I was in college and I had two classes right near the student union with lanes in the basement, so I started throwing a game or two every lunchtime. Over the course of the semester I got better and better and started to hit the 180s or so.

Then finally, the last day of the term, 222.

I walked off the lanes and said, "that's it. I'm done."

    That was in 1983.

Congrats again. You made sure to pick another weekday. Since you like golf stories, I will tell you that one of the courses at the Ponte Vedra Inn in Florida has a plaque by the tee of a par-three. It commemorates a day where four guys made aces on the hole with two and a half hours of each other. It also lists their total bar tab of over two grand.

I think Doc is just humblebragging that he's playing golf on a Tuesday.

    Congrats Doc.
I'm safely assuming you're belly-up at the 19th hole right now buying a couple rounds for the boys.
    Cheers.

If Lena Dunham isn't one of the witnesses, I'll be disappointed. If Trump is, I'll be skeptical.

Friend of mine got 2..........IN THE SAME ROUND about 10 years ago.
Safe to say, the bar tab was extreme.

Having a nights-only teaching schedule doesn't completely suck.

Today on the next par-3 (two holes later), I hit a 6-iron that was tracking in there pretty good (it stopped about 4 feet away*). When it was in the air I thought, hmmmm ... this would be some shit.

    *Yes, I missed the putt.

I've been fortunate enough to have one hole-in-one. 220-yard 4 iron about 15 years ago.
The group I regularly play with on Sundays like to drink beer. A LOT. and a LOT of beer.
Last summer I tee off on our little 145 yard downhiller.....it takes one hop forward and starts to spin back, straight for the hole. I start screaming "FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, DON"T GO IN THE HOLE. STOP. PULL A HAMSTRING. SOMETHING."
    Stops a couple rolls short.
