And the school system can try to spin it anyway it wants, but ... the kid was asked not to wear the jacket and the principal is on record backing up the school's position.

 

If these letters are such precious commodities how is it that this kid's Mom was able to go to Boner's Sporting Goods and get one slapped on a jacket for $5?

When I was in high school, it was common for girls to wear their boyfriend's letter jackets. Not sure if that still happens these days, but I wonder what the school's policy is on that.

You're right. This would be a revolting country if we all had the right to wear a jacket that outwardly projects our interests. That's only for the cool kids.
