HR's down - blame it on the cold

    April's HR's are down to their lowest level since 1993. Article mentions the cold weather, but perhaps there's another reason not called out in there?

    Hitting was down among a lot of minor leaguers too this April. In the least, the cold weather had a big impact, if not the total impact on that. In a lot of cases hitting is starting to improve a bit over the last couple of weeks, as it's warmed up.

    Wasn't 1993 also the last time we saw the skinny players, i.e. the Luis Rivera- or Craig Grebeck-types of the world?

    Seems to make sense to me.
