However is fine when used in moderation, however, I'll admit I use it too much.

Although that's an interesting point, it is not, however, the worst option.

 

It doesn't bother me and set off alarms like other words do, though one person I work with changes it all the time no matter what, though he's a pain in the ass and his editing skills are only slightly above average. To each his/her own.

I confess, I also probably use it way too much. Sometimes you can't help but use it if it pops up in a quote. I have one football coach in my area that uses the word every time I get quotes from him.
