Has anyone told that to ESPN yet?

One more doodah post and some poor copy editor gets a shiv in the ribs. And then Moddy has to post the opening. And then he gets asked if it is entry level.

More to the point, it's hardly a "scoop" in the first place. They ran a statement issued by the university. They followed up with interviews and updated the blog entry throughout the day, including the clarifying statement from the department that they weren't going to suspend operations. Seems like the only screw-up is from the person who issued the initial statement.

Call it a scoop or not, the bottom line is that the city Paper has the other mainstream papers following their lead. Give the pub credit.

Give them credit for putting something out there that's not true?

    What lead? They were wrong.

So let's say my example above is true - we ran such a story. And the Post comes back with Not True, He's NOT Traded.

We should get credit for them following OUR lead?

    Wow

Is this the latest on the situation?

Golf yes, but even moreso rowing. Too bad my kid's a swimmer. Good enough to be a solid three-year letter winner and a solid performer for her team, but not high end caliber for scholarships.

Let's stay on topic and have a nice Howard suspended all intercollegiate athletics until they didn't day.

The last paragraph of the Post story was pretty strong.
"Hamilton said the school did suspend intercollegiate activity this past weekend for its five scholarship sports that compete during the spring. Howard, which competes at the Division I level and in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, allowed its softball and football teams to practice Wednesday.
