If the lady bowlers needed the money that bad, they should have gone pro.

Appears that it was a bit overstated originally. They aren't suspending all competition.

Which begs the question, how did the rumor start and why did it take all fucking day to put out a statement to the contrary?

But one-and-done is ruining women's bowling!

Well ... it did create more buzz about Howard athletics than anything in the past 10 years ...

The big thing that I noticed is how Howard's logo looks an awful lot like the Buffalo Bills.

I would think they have some sort of agreement ... maybe.

Great scoop for the Washington City Paper.

Yes. Except it doesn't sound like it is true, as noted in some of the links posted later in the thread.

On the contrary, we need to see what's systemically keeping women's bowlers in college for four years when they can make money in Europe. Must be the plantation-owning coaches.

As Moddy said, the gist of the City Paper scoop, the one that got them all the attention, turned out not to be true. Kind of takes the shine off the scoop, no?

    We had a scoop recently:

    ALEX OVECHKIN TRADED

Oh, he wasn't? He only missed a practice? Oh well, we had it before anyone else did - even if it was wrong!!

Yeah, scoops need to be right to be real scoops.

Of course, we had a bit of a mess on our front today so I'm going to stop talking smack about other pubs. I'll save the rest of my smack today for us.
