... in the same position as my daughter right now?

She's a junior at Florida, and also a huge Miami Heat fan.

So in the course of a year, her favorite teams have won three national championships.

Hope she realizes it won't always be that way.

It's like being a student at Northwestern or DePaul in 1908... oh, wait...

 

I had a year like that in 1999. I was a Stars fan, a bandwagon Spurs fan, and a US women's soccer fan (shut up, I was 15).

Nothing has come close to that summer since.

 

I'd like to be in the opposite position as your daughter right now. (assuming she's cute)

Said this before on here (before I got accused of frontrunning :) ...

My favorite teams all won championships in the span of 25 months: 1995 Braves, 1996 Packers, 1997 UM football.

Never won a title before or since. I'm still waiting ...

I'm sorry, I'm just not able to bring myself to discuss my daughter in this context.

A related dilemma is when I go to Gainesville and see all the good-looking women and realize they're all the same age -- some younger -- as my daughter.

 

You can't really say the Miami Heat won a national championship, because the Mavericks really didn't belong in the championship series ...
