    Man, I'm not sure I've seen a bowling thread on here in a while (sorry Big Man).
    I got my bowling ball and shoes out of storage last week, and I'm thinking I can regain my 170 average in a few weeks. I'm in the process of looking for a good league. My area isn't exactly a boon for the sport, though.

    As far as the hook, as someone else said, think of a softball pitcher, although more like maybe a good drop ball (wider grip). Basically, it's a trial and error thing.

    Place where ball is drilled (no, not the proshop, but the location on the ball).
    Finger lift on release.
