How to celebrate the paper's 150th anniversary?

    Instead of strictly drawing from ideas from the 100th anniversary section from the 1960s, does anyone have some suggestions on stories or angles to take? Looking for.sports and news ideas. Thanks!

  10. Obvious ... Best athletes (football, basketball, etc.) of the Sesquicentennial. Those are huge hit. The 25 best football players of the last 150 years (and countdown each day until you get to No. 1)
    Might be cool to do do an evolution of the sports pages ... When did the paper start covering sports? What was covered? First columnist? First writer?
    History (both written and oral) of the biggest rivals - college and high school. We've had a lot of school consolidation, and it eliminated a lot of great old rivalries.
    Pictorial history as well.
    And of course go back and dig up some of the papers oldest reporters to talk about the old days
