    Never say never, but if you turned the invoice in today, I wouldn't expect before mid-September.

    fuck that. Not if he didn't negotiate it beforehand.
    As others had said, negotiate up front, but don't send an invoice unsolicited -- at least, not if you ever want to suck on that teat again.

    If no fee was discussed up front, he's likely screwed
