Last week, while a few coworkers and I were paying for our meals at the Mexican joint down the street, one of our favorite waiters tapped me on the shoulder and whispered in my ear, "Amigo, those young women over there would like to say hello."

I turned around. Those young women, three of them, with long, straight hair and all the signs of braces removed only recently, couldn't have been older than 15.

And I'm 23. I waved politely, then walked outside.

    Ms. Bobcat would have laughed.

    I'll be 35 next month.

I still live about like I did 10 years ago, which might not be such a good thing.

Hair is starting to thin on top and the grays are starting to come out in force.

Other than that, though, I'm hot as fuck!

I'm young enough to get I.D.'d when my hair is short, and old enough not to when it's long.

I'm 31, but I'm probably in better shape than I was at 25.

Amazing how simple things like seriously scaling back on pop and cutting out fast food makes a difference, despite not working out.
