How much would you pay to get rid of Charlie Weis?

Notre Dame thought $6.6 million was a good place to start. Initially. Plus additional payments through 2015.

    Great get by the Tribune.

Depends, are we talking about paying by the pound?

Muffet McGraw has a higher base salary than Mike Brey? Um... I know Brey makes way more with endorsements, which are basically just ways to increase his salary and guaranteed to any coach in that position, but wow.

Signing a ridiculous contract and then getting fired, by the way, appears to be one of the best deals in sports. And if you can somehow defer money and get interest, even better. I saw where Bobby Bonilla turned $6 million in deferred payments from the Mets into $30 million.

I am outraged about these payments. They ruined my Saturday afternoon viewing pleasure by getting rid of Weis, who had the funniest series on TV for four years running.
