Someone went with the EGGNOG (Emmy, Golden Globe, Nobel, Oscar, Grammy) as a joke on Twitter today.

Dylan does play minor league baseball stadiums, Native American Casinos, and county fairs.

But, he's also done something like 100 dates a year, for multiple years. He's basically met his demand.

I would guess that if he toured once every 5 years, like a lot of big names do, he could fill bigger venues.

Dylan puts on a good show, and always has a good band. His current band sounds like it's different than the last one I saw, but he's always got good musicians playing with him.

What musician wouldn't play in his band? Same deal as McCartney. His sidemen/women are always awesome, too. But I must confess that 10 years ago when I saw Dylan at Agganis in Boston (BU hockey/basketball arena, capacity 7500-8000) he wasn't very good. Started strong, but voice gave out after about six songs.

Raise your hand if you bought Slow Train Coming as your first Dylan album!

Back to the I'm old thread. My first Dylan album purchase was Bringin' It All Back Home.

Actually, Blonde on Blonde is still my favorite, but I'm not saying you're wrong.

The only Dylan album I've purchased is Bringing Down The Horse.

He's a fantastic songwriter, but I just cannot bear to listen to Bob Dylan sing.

    The SJ.com backlash begins.

We could have a thread on "The Godfather," and at least four or five posters would quickly chime in about how they have no plans to watch that overrated piece-of-shit Marlon Brando who couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.

I think that's the first time I've heard anyone say he puts on a good show consistently. I've seen him twice and once he was very good and once he was really bad. Before I'd ever seen him though, I had heard tons of horror stories from friends. Yesterday's news has me itching to give it another go when he's in town here in a few weeks.
