Distance has kept me from going to the Pacific Northwest or northern Great Plains (both getting there and how far apart everything is once you get there).

I did a Yankees-Cooperstown-Red Sox-Mets four-day weekend with a few buddies in 2008, and the plan was to make a quick drive through the other five New England states after the Sunday afternoon Red Sox game before heading back to New York. But there was a long rain delay during the game and it was already getting dark by the time we got out of Boston, so we had to drive straight back to NYC. We did stop for dinner in Connecticut, so I was able to cross that one off.

All of the lower 48. Was asleep through most of Mississippi, as was driving with a group to New Orleans. But that counts.

If I counted correctly, I've been in 31 states.

For countries, it's 12 - Canada, Mexico, China, UK, Ireland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, Czech Republic, and Poland (with the most time spent in Canada, China, and the UK).

I've been in exactly half ... with road trips to the south and New England sorely needed. One of these years ...

Anyway, the list, from west to east (roughly): Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana.

Yes, Nevada is missing from the list. Not a gambler, so I have no desire to visit Las Vegas. Maybe I'll drive through it (Nevada) at some point.

Obviously, Hawaii and Alaska are the toughest to get to ... but my visit to Alaska was definitely worth it.

Have fun up there, Mr. C. BTW, what part of the state are you visiting? It's really three or four states in one.
