    I couldn't read past the third sentence in the second graph. Why I read that much, I'm still not sure. Shouldn't have.

    Think the WWL is counting down the days until the contract is up? Anyone?
     
  4. Yeah, so they can sign him to a new one that will pay him four times as much as the average hard-working journalist makes in a year. I'm not much for jealousy of other writers, but what Scoop's getting paid for the quality of work he produces really grinds my gears.

    If you're waiting for Scoop to get canned, I suspect you can forget about it. ESPN knew what they were getting when they hired him; it's unlikely they'll suddenly deem his colloquial, informal style to be out of place or unworthy of their time and space.
