Wage-fixing, price-fixing, excise and sales (indirect) taxes, labor taxes, deterministic taxation -- all the things we're not doing.

Marxism says the economy is scientifically manageable, and therefore prices can be set by committee to regulate economic growth. If you can get past that whole bugaboo, it's worth a try, customized and remodeled. Certainly better than the scarecrow on a stick in the White House saying that "we have a great challenge."

    Ha, ha, ha.

Don't sweat it, Big. It will never happen. People would rather wring their hands over it and do nothing.

"A national debt, if it is not excessive, will be to us a national blessing. ... It will ... create a necessity for keeping up taxation to a degree which, without being oppressive, will be a spur to industry."

No wonder the 'Pubs want to peel Hamilton's face off the $10.

I sell balloons on the corner. Business is down 70 percent just in the last two years. We have no dreamers left.

    Oh, that's all.

LOL - you will have to step over 20 million dead republicans in order to just raise the LTCG and dividend tax. Country clubs would be burning from Bel Air to Augusta before the Marxist stuff was implemented (Don't know how the Marxist doctrines deal with a global/internet economy).

"Well, yes, Mr. President, we do have a warehouse room full of these in northern Virginia. but, it's stagflation, not inflation, we're battling."

Paul Volcker recommends interest-rate shock to kill the stagflation beast.
