How do you not realize you're going 109 mph?

Let's all boast of reckless endangerment!

The only person I've endangered is me. Except for the time I had to split two cars down the center line on a Kawasaki Ninja 900 at 90 mph.

My opinion on this matter is embarrassingly close to NDJournalist's, so I'm just going to slink away in shame.

Speaking from experience, if the traffic conditions allow for it, 85 MPH is perfectly safe.

Most speed limits aren't set with safety in mind to begin with. They're set with revenue enhancement in mind.

    Three words: Basic speed law.

Not to get political, but there's a stretch of road in Searchlight, Nev., hometown of Sen. Harry Reid, where the limit goes from 45 to 35 to 25 in three blocks. Revenue enhancers indeed ...

Speed isn't a problem if everything goes your way.

The world's an imperfect place, though. Screws fall out all the time.

Oh, totes magotes. It's not like there are ever other cars or surprise pedestrians you have to watch for on the road or anything.

Obviously every situation depends on traffic, speed limit and typical police presence, but 80 to 90 is normal range for me. Once it hits 95, we're talking abnormally fast. Past 100 is easily possible without noticing it. And this dude just said "totes magotes."
