It's like ultimate frisbee, but with a football.

TBF, if it's not better in the morning (can't imagine it will be) I second the suggestion you go see a doctor (especially since that's painless for you).

Both my ankles are gumby'ed. I've learned the hard way that what you think is a simple sprain can actually be pretty serious if the ligament was pulled off the bone, or worse, took some of the bone with it.

I'm not much on rugby rules, but in ultimate football you start with a kickoff. The person who catches the kickoff can take two steps and must then pass. After a catch, take two steps and pass. If you drop it, it's the other team's ball.

    So no hitting.

I have a feeling the NFL is moving in this direction.

Do you need your feet to fly?

Depending on the pain I feel in the morning, I may go. The process is not totally painless, and chances are, all they'll do is give me motrin and tell me to walk it off. The aid-station medics aren't the cream of the crop. The good medics are in the MEDEVAC. 8)

Unfortunately, I need my feet to push the pedals. Chances are, if I go to see the doc, he'll ground me for a couple of weeks.

Go limp to the doc tomorrow.

At worst, he/she will give you proper crutches.

I like the sound of this ultimate football thing, though.

I messed up my ankle playing basketball four months ago, and it's just now back to about 90 percent. It only feels bad when I first wake up. After I'm up and around a bit, it's fine. It's a sad reminder to me how much recovery time increases as I get older.

    Nice.

If you heard a pop, it could be nothing (just fluid moving around) or it could have been ligaments or bone tearing or breaking. If it stays swollen, painful and difficult to move after a few days, get it checked.
