How did your paper play the Little League World Series championship game

My hometown long went the Little League Senior Division route, where the 13-15 group went immediately to the full-sized field. Then in addition to playing all-stars in that division, they would send a group of 13- and 14-year-olds to Hagerstown, Md., annually for the Funkhouser Tournament. That had the "halfway there" Pony dimensions, and our guys would just love it. Especially the pitchers, going from 60-6 to whatever it is for Pony ball.

I actually think the Pony step is good for the kids. And I don't like making 12-year-olds play any longer than LL dimensions, or with the natural base-stealing rules. Another reason I don't like travel ball.

Pony, I think is 54 feet and 80 feet. I like those dimensions for 13/14.
