It's pushing 60, I haven't worn a coat in two weeks, it's snowed once since Christmas and I live in the Northwest.

    Any questions?

It was 12 degrees with a wind chill near 0 this morning. It's now 28 and sunny and going to the mid-40s tomorrow and maybe 50 by the end of the week.

Isn't there an El Nino out there causing all the crazy weather? Methinks global warming isn't to blame for all the crazy weather.

Pinning Global Warming to any one day/week/whatever is ludicrous. It's like looking at the box scores of the NBA games, seeing that, on a given night, Chris Kaman scored 22 points when Kobe only had 18, and coming to the conclusion that Kaman must be the better player.

If you want to study climate change, you have to go in long chunks — longer than most people have the vision to look. After all, since the Earth's only 6,000 years old, how can things possibly be THAT much warmer, right?

We're getting our big warmup starting tomorrow. At least six days of 55 or above temps, including a flirtation with 70 possible over the weekend. We got lucky with this run of brutal cold in that we only had one decent-sized storm, and it took a path that allowed enough warm air to creep up from the Atlantic and turn what could have been a 12-inch snow into a lot of rain.

60s and mild, but it'll hit 80 in no time.
