How closely will you be following the Olympics?

I've done it for four years now and don't really miss it for the most part.

Since my paper has no space for local content during the Olympics, I'll be watching even more closely than before during my unscheduled break.

I got into this crazy business because of the Olympics, which I hope to cover someday. I also want to visit the site of every Olympics, which will take me around the world and back again.

Their names are Wenlock and Mandeville. Well that sure goes a long way in taking them from creepy to lovable.

They could have come up with more English names than that.

I might tune in to see if Usain Bolt can run the 100 in 6-flat or whatever obscene time, but other than that......

Many people think the Olympic symbol is incestuous with Lisa performing on her brother Bart..

I remembered what I hate about the Olympics now. It's the overkill talk and references from every media outlet and piece of pop culture beyond Team Peacock. If I want to gorge on all Olympics all the time, I know what channels to hit. Outside of that, I want something different.

I owe most of what I learned about the world as a pre-teen from Olympic broadcasts.
