A 500-pound man goes tubing on a river, needs to be rescued...

    :)

"It was very taxing. It was probably 70 degrees and the humidity was very high last night," Ovick said.

Geez ... if 70 degrees is hot, then I must be livin' in the pits of hell.

It's 70 here today and the humidty is thru the roof. It is uncomfortable, but to call it taxing ... eh, not when you're sitting in the water like a beached whale.*

*Sorry if that's harsh, but ... christ, 500 fuckin' pounds?

You have no idea how tough it was to find a picture that wouldn't cause mass vomiting.

OK, but did you watch the CBS news video? The second story is about a rugby player who had a tooth lodged in his head for four months.

Where this happened is my old stomping grounds.

The St. Croix is really low right now and I just don't understand why anyone would be tubing there. Actually, that isn't exactly a popular area to go tubing.

I'm going home this weekend, I'm sure I'll hear more than I want about this. :-\

That was 70 last night and that water is pretty warm this time of year, especially with how shallow it is right now.

I hope to fulfill a lifelong goal next week and tube the Guadalupe, but with the floods the river will probably still be closed.

    Schlitterbahn's closed too.
