Jamie Dimon earned more than $20 million last year. Lloyd Blankfein earned more than $13 million. Brady Dougan, the CEO of Credit Suisse, UBS' biggest competitor, earned $14 million last year (and that was after a pay cut because profits dropped).

Yes, $3.2 million is a relatively low salary for that job. Sorry.

I type that and it automatically starts the stupid posts suggesting that I said that $3 million isn't a lot of money.

Or the "What a hero" post, after I simply said that Gruebel came out of retirement, doesn't mind going back into retirement, and obviously offered himself up as the ceremonial sacrificial lamb, because getting out isn't going to be a big deal for him. He's an older man who had already put himself in retirement once.

But a few of you don't bother to actually read what I post. You just jump in with things suggesting I am saying more than what I am, to fit the picture you want to paint of my posts.

So that's the guy I saw at the interstate exit holding up the sign that read, "Will run your bank for food."

Which also means, to paraphrase Joe DiMaggio, Mr. Dimon, Mr. Dougan and Mr. Blanckfein are overpaid.
