    I'm sure most of you have stood down close to the action during a race. I'm shocked that wrecks like this don't happen more often. It's a tribute to the drivers. I've stood close at Indianapolis and to say that those cars are hauling ass doesn't even begin to describe it. It takes your breath away to see how fast they zip by, and television or a high vantage point doesn't do it justice.

    Thirty-four open-wheel cars on a 1 1/2-mile oval is sheer madness. Blood is on the hands of the IndyCar brass.
