Honda quality: Just like everybody else's quality, apparently

There's no question that the positive aspects of the reputation of quality for brands like Honda and Toyota is at least slightly exaggerated in comparison to the raw numbers, just as the negative aspects of the reputation of the "Big Three" is at least slightly exaggerated.

Nobody is building perfect cars. U.S. makers are doing a better job. And, not a huge surprise, but moving assembly out of Japan has probably had a negative impact on the quality of those makers.

But perception is the reality in this marketplace.

One out of every 11 cars is minor to you?? So if you misspell one out of every 11 words, that's not a big deal to your editor? He'd only throw a "minor" fit over that?

Keep in mind, your total of 2.5 million is divided among about 20 different models over two years. Try comparing apples to apples next time by looking at the total number of those models that are being recalled. If GM recalls all Corvettes, you can't blow it off by saying, "Well shucks, GM sold three millions cars last year, so it's no big deal!"
