NEW YORK (AP) -- Cleveland Indians general Manager Mark Shapiro met his young centerfielder Grady Sizemore at home plate following Sizemore's performance in the Home Run Derby.

Shapiro held in his hand a 10-year contract extension for Sizemore to sign, practically begging the franchise's cornerstone player to stay with the team.

"Please," said Shapiro within earshot of ESPN's Erin Andrews. "Please! On behalf of all of Cleveland -- PLEASE! You can write in the amount."

Someone at ESPN thought having Rick Reilly as a part of their coverage was a good idea.

Too bad that person was sadly mistaken.

Evan Longoria doing his Brett Boone impersonation.

Does it include a Travis Hafner clause?

I love how they theorize that Evan Longoria is struggling in the Derby because it's Yankee Stadium. Not like he didn't play there last week or anything.

He's struggling - and actually getting booed. Although as I write that he puts one into the third deck.

It would have to be. I'm watching Top Gear rather than polluting my living room with The Sounds Of Berman.

Booing a Rays rookie in a HR derby? Classy.

The outfielders are terrible. Where's my glove?
