Ok, so maybe I should have used a Home Alone reference after all

Meh....my thread died on the vine anyway. Four posts and two were mine.

 

Wait, when was four? I know the third one they stopped using McCauley Culkin, Joe Pesci etc. so I stopped watching.

 

Why don't you start a song you're listening to thread? Or a books thread? No one here starts those.

You know, the last guy who stopped paying attention to other threads to start his own, wound up dating his back-door neighbor, spent a day in HR and failed to stay on topic before getting the ziggy....

Home Alone 4 = Kevin's parents break up and he goes to live with his mom.

I didn't mind Home Alone 2. It's a much easier concept to get: a kid gets separated from his parents in a Christmas-rush airport and accidentally gets on the wrong terminal. Of course, in today's security-driven world, this would never happen (nor would it happen where they could run right up to the gate and get on) but you get cool shots of New York at Christmastime. Rockefeller Tree and toy stores and everything. Plus, it has Tim Curry and Rob Schneider in it.

 

Don't forget the awesome Darlene Love song "All Alone At Christmas."

 

Which, by the way, is not included with the soundtrack.

(I'm a soundtrack aficianado and downloaded every Christmas-y instrumental soundtrack to listen to, mostly while I was <s>procrastinating from</s> cramming for finals.)

 

I recall having a tough time finding it a couple years ago when I was trying to make the perfect Christmas mix. Of course, that was before I joined the iTunes revolution. So you can suck it, CDs!!!

That said, is it actually on any album?
