I didn't want to bury this in an NBA thread, and hopefully it's not posted somewhere else on the board, but this seems completely and utterly insane to me for so many reasons:

Consider this reason 900 that the Knicks and the NCAA are a joke, since both are OK with hiring Thomas.

So he's gonna be taking salaries from an NBA team AND and a college team? Has this ever been done before? And does it cross any ethical lines to simultaneously be an NCAA coach and employed by an NBA team?

Does it cross any sanity lines for a college and NBA team to think they should employ Thomas, either singly or in tandem? Yep, it does. That one team is in New York and the other in Florida only makes it better. We know the Knicks are run by idiots. Evidently, Florida International has a little brainpower problem at the top as well.

Maybe he threatened to kill himself if The Knicks did not hire him back.

Clearly he has some glossies in his safe of Dolan.

I hope we get to hear him say "Anucha" again.

You can have Eddy Curry back too.

Maybe Thomas can convince Stephon Marbury to come back into Knick fold. They need a point guard.

He must have photos of James Dolan doing something really, really horrible. This can't be true. It just can't be.

It won't end up being allowed by the NCAA:

Will that give him an excuse to leave FIU?

This is laugh-out-loud embarassing for the Knicks.
